Dr. Milaan Parmar
Mississippi State University, USAMilan Parmar is an academician, learner, teacher, developer, consultant, and researcher with a demonstrated history of working in the higher education and industry, as well as an excellent research publication record with 7+ years of extensive research experience and credentials in Data Science. He specializes in solving complex problems using machine learning and data analytics, especially in the industrial and healthcare domains. He is currently a researcher in the Computer Science Engineering department at Mississippi State University in Starkville, Mississippi, USA. He is currently assisting the Dean of the Department in maintaining a Predictive Analysis group, and he previously assisted his previous Head of Department in maintaining a data science group at Jilin University of Finance and Economics in China. In this group, major responsibilities included supervising Ph.D. and master’s students on their theses and identifying new analysis topics for the group that could lead to publications. He is the first Indian to receive the Chinese Education Board’s Outstanding Foreign Lecturer Award in Jilin Province, China. He has prior experience with outreach programs, workshops, collaboration meetings, and conferences. Motivated to continue contributing in the field of machine learning. He earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Jilin University, his Masters in Embedded Microelectronics and Wireless Systems from Coventry University in the United Kingdom, his Bachelor of Engineering from Mumbai University in India, and his first degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Mumbai University in India. He has also advised numerous public and private organizations on the implementation of information systems.
